Jared Kaban
Jared Kaban has over 20 years of experience in investments and business operations across various industries including consumer goods, real estate, financial services and renewable energy. His business success has been defined by his ability to identify favorable market conditions and maximize potential opportunities. Previously, Jared was managing partner of Tanzman, Rock and Kaban LLC, a securities trading firm. Under Jared’s leadership, the firm grew to over 175 traders and was purchased by ETrade Financial Corp (NASD: ETFC). Jared subsequently served as managing partner of MJSR Tech Valley Development LLC, a real estate development firm. He holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. When Jared is not looking for new investment opportunities, he is enjoying coaching his two daughters’ basketball teams and playing tennis with his wife of almost 20 years.
Corey Singman
Corey Singman has over 25 years of experience investing in and acquiring growth businesses. By combining his ability to source, structure and place, Corey has enjoyed success in the areas of private equity, venture capital and corporate restructuring. He understands how to create value in a wide range of industries at all points in the growth cycle, with a focus on consumer brands, restaurants, industrial services and alternative vehicles. Corey sits on multiple corporate boards and has led numerous transactions including: Squatty Potty, Galaxy Universal, Calgon Bath and Body, St Joseph’s Aspirin, Wetanson Restaurant Group (Dallas BBQ and Tony’s Di Napoli) and Smith Electric Vehicles. In his free time, Corey can be found playing basketball and spending time with his wife of over 20 years, their 3 children and 3 dogs. Corey graduated from the University of Maryland.
Peter Sheptak
Peter Sheptak has worked in the private equity, investment and family office space for over 30 years, and currently serves as the general counsel of Seven Isles Capital – a single-family office. As General Counsel, Peter is responsible for overseeing and directing all legal and structural matters related to the business of Seven Isles Capital, its portfolio companies, and its investments. Prior to joining Seven Isles Capital, Peter was a shareholder of Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart, P.A., where his practice focused on serving as advisor to and counsel for family offices and family-owned and closely-held businesses – particularly working with and advising such clients on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and hedge fund investing, direct investing and co-investments, complex investment and business structures, corporate finance, and other related family office matters. Prior to joining Gunster, Peter spent nearly two decades working for JM Family Enterprises, Inc., which is owned and operated by a single family. In that capacity, Peter was responsible for the legal and structural aspects of the company’s M&A activity, hedge fund and private equity investing, direct and co-investing, corporate diversification, and finance, treasury and capital markets functions. Peter received his law degree cum laude from Duquesne University and his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame. He and his wife have three children and live in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
